Do you think it’s the magic formula to curing obesity or weight gain that you’ve been led to believe?
We’ll discuss what the hCG diet is all about, if it’s really effective at losing weight quickly and if it’s safe for you and I.
Let me say, I’m not one for needles. I don’t like ’em, never have.
Some people are okay with them and they’ll use the needle to cure all kinds of things, and for some health reasons, I can understand.
HCG Injections For Weight Loss – What Is It?
Let’s look at what the hCG diet is all about. We won’t be getting into the science of things just the simple explanation.
hCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin, which is a hormone that’s found in the urine of pregnant women. It is also said to be found in men as well.
hCG is responsible for breaking down stored stomach, or abdominal, fat to give the fetus the energy it needs to grow.
So because of that, people have been led to believe that this is the magic pill (or injection in this case) to cure their weight problems, forever!
All over the world, the obesity rate is only increasing. People are gaining more and more weight each and every year with the growing number of easy and fast food options available. That, and just making bad food choices on a daily basis has led many people to becoming overweight.
With this increasing rate of obesity, people are wanting quick solutions, and really, whose to blame them?
When we’re overweight, our health dramatically declines.
Our focus, our energy, our bones, all deteriorating because we’re carrying a ton of extra weight.
This is whats led to the hCG diet becoming very popular.
HCG Injections For Weight Loss – The Diet
What does the hCG diet look like?
First, it requires you to inject hCG on a daily basis. An alternative to this is hCG drops that should be dropped under the tongue.
Then, you’ll go on a 500 very restricted calorie diet consisting of mainly organic foods.
You’ll do this for around 45 days or so and can expect to lose 1-3 pounds per day as some of the advertisements claim.
Losing 10 pounds every single week is probably not realistic unless you’re extremely obese.
For someone that’s looking to lose 10-50 pounds or thereabouts, you shouldn’t look to lose that much every week.
HCG Injections For Weight Loss – Does It Work?
But does it work?
If you listen to the advertisements you’d be led to believe that hcg injections works and works great.
But what’s the reality?
Looking at what the hCG diet is all about, it makes you wonder if the people on this diet are losing weight because of the very low calories, the injections or both.
If I put ANY person on a 500 calorie diet, they’re guaranteed to lose weight right away, but would I recommend it for a long period of time? No.
At the time of this writing, there’s no scientific evidence that using hCG is a viable weight loss strategy.
It’s not even FDA approved.
So as far as evidence goes, there’s no real proof to show that hCG injections work.
HCG Injections For Weight Loss – Side Effects
There’s many side effects when taking the hCG diet/injections from depression, headaches, dizziness, body swelling, shortness of breath, and even weight gain, either during the diet or thereafter.
Anytime you’re shooting up something that’s not FDA approved, be wary.
hCG injections for weight loss may not be the magic pill (or injection) you’ve been looking for.
This is one of those diets that makes me cringe, not just because I dislike needles, but because it’s just flat out crazy.
If you’ve read my previous article, Lose Weight Fast Without Pills, then you know I don’t like unnatural ways of losing weight. Pills is one thing, but injections is on a whole nother level that I wouldn’t recommend.
Stick to natural, easier, more enjoyable ways of getting rid of that extra weight.
Read the many different articles and posts on this website and you’ll be set to go, regardless of how much weight you need to lose.
Your results will be a whole lot better by following the advice on LeanStop.com than using hCG injections for weight loss.
