Does the 3 day apple diet work? 3 day apple diet

Is it good for weight loss and detoxing the body, or should we focus our attention somewhere else?

Most 3 day type of diets last only for… 3 days, then you take a break and repeat the process again.

This is a form of calorie cycling and from my experience is a great way to lose weight and keep the body guessing, especially when you’re trying to lose that last 5 pounds or so.

The 3 Day Apple Diet – What Is It?

 

The 3 day apple diet consists of eating only apples everyday!

No, I’m just kidding!

Though, if I was allowed to eat those apples with peanut butter and maybe some ice cream that wouldn’t be such a bad diet to be on!

Let’s get back on track here.

The 3 day apple diet has you eating an apple before every meal.

Most of us eat 3 meals a day so before each and every meal we’ll eat an apple.

The fiber along with the sugar is supposed to fill us up a bit so we don’t eat a whole lot.

I know whenever I’m trying to lose some fat and I get a chocolate craving, I’ll grab for an apple instead.

Apples are a fantastic food to eat to help curve those sweet tooth cravings.

But that’s not the only requirement…

For every meal on the 3 day apple diet, you’ll eat low to moderate carb foods.

You’ll eat your apple then have some veggies and then some kind of meat (chicken breast, tuna, etc.)

These foods have to be kept in check so you don’t overeat.

The apple is suppose to help with that and if you eat a good amount of vegetables after eating the apple, you shouldn’t be able to stuff your face.

After the 3 days are up, you can then take a break for a few days, eating moderately, and decide if you want to get back on again.

You can essentially be on this diet once a week – 3 days on, 3-4 days off, repeat.

The 3 Day Apple Diet – Does It Work?

Looking at the diet plan, I’d have to say yes!

If you keep your calories in check, which again the apples should help with this, you’ll lose weight from day one.

The 3 days ON diet is also a great strategy from my experience because you’ll be ON the diet for 3 days and then off for a few days.

Those off days are not meant to “cheat” or “gorge” or eat all you want, but those 3 days gives you a mental break. You can basically eat what you want as long as you don’t overeat.

This is a type of calorie cycling which works great when you want to lose weight and maintain muscle.

The 3 Day Apple Diet – Good For Detoxing The Body?

When it comes to detoxing the body, I like to look at as a way to give the body a break, to clear your system and to jump start a weight loss program.

You might be asking yourself, “what does he mean by clear your system?”.

What I mean is to basically start over.

Most of us will go from eating junk foods, lots of it, to jumping straight into a diet plan which definitely works.

However, if you go through some sort of detox plan beforehand, it’s a great way to get your body ready to lose maximum of fat.

If you look at drug addicts, they’re addicted to a certain drug. Now I’m not saying foods are drugs, although some people are definitely addicted to certain foods, but follow closely with me here for a bit.

To get off, they’ll go through some kind of detox program. Many of them quit cold turkey.

That’s essentially what we’re doing with a detox.

We’re getting rid of the junk inside of us to start over and start feeding it MORE healthy items.

So is the 3 day apple diet good for detoxing the body?
